Last week I had the chance to take part to a L’Occitane‘s event at the L’Occitane’s Académie, for the new fragrances’ launch: L’Occitane Collection de Grasse.
Through a multi-level sensorial journey, a real synaesthetic experience, we discovered the new fragrances, through the making of them from raw materials.
With our eyes closed, we’ve been guided to recognize the essences and essential oils with all our senses, so the fragrances could spread through ourselves. We feel fragrance with all our body indeed, in order to become the same thing, the fragrance and our personality.
The Collection de Grasse was born from L’Occitane and Karine Dubreuil, in order to celebrate Grasse, the city worldwide known for fragrances. Strong feelings towards Provence see the birth of these fragrances, which want to tell a story about that area.
For each fragrance we have an harmonious accord of two ingredients.
Vanille & Narcisse. A warm, intoxicating fragrance, the Vanille & Narcisse Eau de Toilette is discreet at first, the scent of narcissus swells to reveal a bouquet of white flowers and spicy heart accords. Rich and radiant vanilla blends with the wilder, untamed notes of narcissus to give it its spirit.
Thé Vert & Bigarade. Perfect for both women and men, the fresh and vibrant Thé Vert & Bigarade Eau de Toilette is a lively encounter of aromatic and citrusy freshness. Sparkling citrus notes burst forth in an accord of sweet and bitter orange while hints of green trea and yerba maté give a softening touch before the aromatic base.
Magnolia & Mure. A sophisticated fragrance, the Magnolia & Mûre Eau de Toilette is a balance between flower and fruit, as the mysterious magnolia essence provides the prelude to wild blackberry notes. Present throughout the fragrance, blackberry gives a tenderness to the woody structure and softens its seriousness.
Jasmin & Bergamote. The elegant and romantic Jasmin & Bergamot Eau de Toilette is the harmonious accord of the two ingredients, fluctuating between petals and leaves, freshness and sensuality, day and night. Bergamot discreetly lights up the scent and retains a lingering presence, while the rare and delicate jasmine comes to life with luminous green facets.
