Some weeks ago I received a CND Vinylux kit* thanks to Ladybird House in order to review it and express my considerations about it.
The kit is made of a Scrub Fresh, two Vinylux nail polishes in Steel Gaze and Electric Orange and the Vinylux Top Coat.
CND Vinylux is claimed to last 7 days, with a sort of semi-permanent gel like look. The things I appreciate the most are that you don’t need the UV lamp (I’m still thinking it’s potential dangerous for your health) and you can remove it easily as all other nail polishes with a simple nail polish remover.
For the CND Vinylux manicure you have to follow three steps:
- prep your nails with Scrub Fresh, a nail surface cleaner which erase all greasiness from your nails
- apply two coat of Vinylux nail polish of your choice; it dries quickly, love it!
- apply one coat of Vinylux Top Coat
At first I was a bit skeptical about this polish but I tried it several times and it works, indeed. These days I worked a lot with my hands (houseworks, workouts etc.) without paying much attention to my nails and these are the results with CND Vinylux after 7 days.
Vinylux Steel Gaze after 7 days
As you can see, there’s no chipping, only the natural nail’s growth, but on the edges you can see how the polish is slightly worn out maybe because I had to put more carefully the top coat on…
Some words about the colours now. I was sent two complimentary colours: Electric Orange is one of the few oranges I can pull off because it’s not extremely yellow but it tends towards red vermilion; Steel Gaze is a colour extremely complex to describe, it’s a metallic colour between antique gold and platinum which changes under every light, I really love it!
Have you already tried CND Vinylux nail polishes?
