The big announcement after last New York Fashion Week is that Proenza Schouler is going to have a collaboration with Mac cosmetics during the next spring 2014.
We all know how much important make up is in fashion and on catwalks and so do Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, designers of Proenza Schouler. In fact, they stated: “Beauty has always played a huge role in what we do on the runway”, “We wanted to create something that the Proenza Schouler woman could relate to off the runway”.
Mac and Proenza Schouler has a collaboration which go well from many years into the backstages, so now we’ll have the opportunity to see how make up and fashion work together for everyday life women and not only for runways.
We don’t know many details about this spring 2014 make up collection – the launch is expected in April – but it’s sure that we’ll see in this collection the Proenza Schouler‘s designers beauty idea. We only know that this collection will feature Lipsticks, Pro Longwear Eye Liners, Lip Pencils, Nail Lacquers, 129SE Powder Brush, and mysterious Ombre Face Powders. About the collection itself, Mac announce that it will be “inspired by one of Proenza Schouler‘s past collections, the collaboration packaging will be extremely unique”.
James Gager, creative director and senior vice president at Mac cosmeticssays: “”I have always respected Jack and Lazaro’s keen vision and point of view. We’ve worked together backstage creating beauty looks for their runway shows for many years and it has been fascinating to me watching them evolve. They have a very particular perspective on their make-up look each season. It has been a great experience collaborating with them to bring their beauty vision off the runway to our customers”.
