In this beautiful October afternoon spent in my courtyard on a porch swing, with amazing fall colours around me and a delightful mild weather, I thought it was finally time to talk about my favourite eyeshadow ever. I didn’t show it too much in my most played posts series, maybe because I’ve always felt it was too special to me to be only mentioned among other products. Furthermore I tend to use it only during special occasions since I fear I could running out of it!

So, my all time favourite eyeshadow is Delicate Hummingbird from Rouge Bunny Rouge.

I’ve already talked about how much I love Rouge Bunny Rouge as make up brand, with its concept, packaging, naming, products theirselves. Rouge Bunny Rouge represents all I’d love the most to see in make up: products in their range are always classy, polished, sophisticated, minimal but very romantic at the same time, with retro, vintage twist.

As you all know, I’m totally in love with taupes. And the more purple they have in the undertones, the better. So I’ve been always looking for the “perfect” taupe eyeshadow. Of course I have so, so many taupe eyeshadows. I finished some of them, some are gone in a beauty adoption, but I always tend to collect – even I don’t like too much this word, I always use and wear my make up! – taupe eyeshadows from every brand.

One day, surfing on the internet looking for some taupey inspirations, I saw Delicate Hummingbird. Ant it’s been love at the first sight. I knew it was the perfect taupe eyeshadow I’ve been looking from so long time. It has the perfect balance of purple, brown and grey tones: they’re mixed up so well that you can’t really define this colour, as it is so complex. Delicate Hummingbird has not only the most amazing colour I’ve ever seen, but it has also the most high quality in the beauty world, I’d dare to say. The texture is extremely buttery, it glides on and blends effortless, maintaining an excellent colour payoff. It lasts perfect an entire day and it does not crease even if you don’t use any base.

It is pricey, indeed, but it’s worth every cent. I bought as a single eyeshadow but not it is avaible also in pan form which is cheaper, of course, but you get less product. Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadow pans fit Mac palettes.

When you talk about Rouge Bunny Rouge you can’t help to talk about how amazing packaging is, simply black with beautiful fine white illustrations. Packaging which comes with a great work for naming and concept too.
