Today’s haul post is about latest Neve Cosmetics News, Twenties Icon & Pastello.

I loved Neve Cosmetics Twenties Icon immediately when it came out. I’m so mad about vintage and retro look and I appreciated so much Neve Cosmetics‘ idea to honour a big trend these days thanks to the new version of The Great Gatsby movie. Nevertheless twenties are only a weak inspirations for Neve Cosmetics Twenties Icon collection: during twenties we didn’t see any shimmers or glittery purple, of course. And I’d loved to see some plummy, mauve or oxblood dark lipsticks.

Although these details, I love each colour in this collection (except the blushes, not really my cup of tea), and I have to thank my friend Misato for letting me take a look (plus some samples <3) at her pieces from the collection.

So I ordered Tobacco mineral eyeshadow, a gorgeous taupe colour with a slightly warm pink duochrome (I honestly don’t see any green duochrome as stated). Then, Cincillà Pastello eye pencil, a warm taupe which pairs well with Tobacco and I can’t stop wearing it with a nude eye: it enlightens my eyes making them pop. I had also Jazz mineral eyeshadow as gift and I’m really glad of having it: I own nothing like this kind of green, it reminds me of sultry, deep, velvety curtains or tapestry in a twenties smoking room.

Then, another news came out from Neve Cosmetics: two new Pastello lip pencils with a great promo on their website on all Pastello pencils. So I decided to pick up Sfilata, a new pastello lip pencil. It is described as a bright amaranth even it I think it contains a bit more of magenta to be defined as amaranth. It’s a bright colour and not a deep, vampy one. Texture is amazing, a lot smoother than other Pastello lip pencils. It glides evenly on lips and it’s a pleasure to use it as a lipstick alone it you rock matte lips. Staying power is really good and it leaves a nice stain after a meal.

I also added to my order two other Pastello: Petrolio, a deep bluish teal perfect for brown eyes and Marmotta a warm dark beige which look really natural if you have pigmented lips and a warm complexion.
