Paloma – Spring Summer 2014 Colour Trend
Hi! Today’s post in spring summer 2014 colour trends will be about Paloma. Paloma 16-0000 has been chosen by Pantone to be one of the top colours for this summer. At first sight Paloma may appear as a plain, boring grey. Well, grey in its pureness could be less ordinary if chosen in a less usual undertone. Perhaps you can wear Paloma trend choosing a medium grey with slightly warm undertones. It’s a particular shade of grey quite hard to find which makes grey a really interesting colour and not so boring. However, usually grey means chic. As a safe colour you can use it as a base for your outfit mixing it with some bold colours, maybe fluo such as fuchsia o a bright yellow. But if you dare to wear a Paloma grey total look, you have to choose carefully styles and details. Details are everything for this kind of look. For a Paloma inspiration I enjoyed myself putting togheter a total look that won’t make you appear boring, but edgy and sophisticated.
For clothes I chose a Topshop crop top with enjewelled details on neckline and sleeves. It’s not *too* cropped and it has a comfy wearability but it is quite chic thanks to rich details. If you don’t know how to pair a crop top, you’d better take a look at some high waisted skater skirt that emphasizes waist but it doesn’t squeeze in your thighs. As accessories wear something bold: a spiked ear cuff or a bangle set. If you feel particularly daring choose a pair of platforms instead of classic wedges. Last but not least, put a lot of effort into your make up. Since the Paloma outift is a quite understatement look, you have to go for some statement on your face. The Lorac Pro 2 palette has a couple of Paloma shades in it, pair them with the Navy or the Plum for a bold, grey based but still colourful smoky eyes. Add a final touch at the centre of your eyelids with Make Up For Ever Paillettes.
