Violet Tulip – Spring Summer 2014 Colour Trend
Today’s post is about Violet Tulip colour, another Spring Summer 2014 Colour Trend. Pantone classified Violet Tulip as 16-3823. This colour is a quite cool lilac with some periwinkle undertones, another colour inspired from nature and flowers. I really love purplish colours and I find this variation really sweet and feminine, perfect for summer days on holiday.
Here there are some beauty and fashion inspiratons in Violet Tulip colour. I said that I find this colour perfect on holiday, so what about a bikini in Violet Tulip? I find it so appropriate for a holiday in French Riviera or Greek Island, or maybe for a trip by boat. This one has a lot of frills to make it even more feminine. Then I chose a sweet bow hair clip. I can’t resist bows, even if I’m no longer a teenager. I find that this colour suits beautifully chestnut or red hair. For shoes I fell in love with this stylish rubber sandals. They’re overly cute, aren’t they?
Talking about beauty finds, I can’t help to suggest Nars duo eyeshadows in Jolie Poupée. I own it and it is one of the prettiest violet duo eyeshadows ever. The violet tulip side is matte, while purple has a metallic finish. Another trending colour is Laura Mercier baked eyeshadow in Violet Sky, even if these ones haven’t the greatest colour payoff and are prone to fall out. Despite this, colour is a real Violet Tulip 🙂 If you prefer loose, mineral eyeshadows take a look at Bare Minerals Pink Eyecolor Eyeshadow in Princess, a true lilac. For nails I chose an Essie nail polish in Bangle Jangle and I couldn’t resist this Eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Passion Fruit 😀
