August 2014 Favourites: my most played
Another post for #teammostplayed series, created by GoldenVi0let.
I really like August’s ending: my favourite season – fall – is coming and I always think about new projects to start with September. This last month I enjoyed a lot of new entries and I can’t wait to show them and talk more about them. As you can see from the photo below my make up wasn’t very summery but, as I’ve already said, I’m really an autumn person so I’m all into deep, muted and maybe gloomy 😀 colours.
So, take a look at my August 2014 favourites and most played products.
- Lorac Pro Palette 2: I received the Lorac Pro Palette 2 this month and I’m so so glad I bought this one. I was debating if getting Lorac Pro Palette in its original version but since I already own a lot of neutral palettes (all Naked palettes, Louise Young one etc.) I preferred something different and this palette really caught my eyes. There is a perfect balance among neutrals and colours, mattes and shimmers. I really love using Plum or Navy paired with neutral shades.
- Nars Laguna Bronzer: I could’t believe that a bronzer could work so well with my fair skintone. It’s not so cool toned or matte as any specific contour products but I find it really suitable to sculpting my face features. It has a satin finish but you won’t see any shimmer on your face and the colour is a biscuit tone which works evenly with my complexion.
- Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Cherub: I’ve already shown this liquid blush in another most played post. It’s really like a watercolour and it gives an extremely natural and fresh flush in tender pink.
- Charlotte Tilbury Rock’n’kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil in Elizabeth Violet: this products really is really worth the hype. It seems the perfect eye pencil: it doesn’t smudge in the heat but it’s blendable for a smoky eyes. It lasts all day long and it creates that sexy bedroom eyes effect.
- MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Half-Red: I’m totally in love with MAC classic lip pencils. Half-Red is a gorgeous berry-plum and it works amazingly with all my mlbb or plummy shades, such as Twig or Viva Glam III.
- MAC Cosmetics lipsticks in Twig and Viva Glam III: I think that these are my most flattering lipsticks. They both have a brownish undertone so they’ll work better with a warm complexion (I have fair skin with peach undertone) and strong contrasts. Twig (Satin) is a mlbb shade, a bit darker than my natural lips. It is a muted plummy shade with brown undertone. Viva Glam III (Matte) is darker than Twig but it’s in the same colour range: a decadent plum with a strong brown undertone.
- Sephora Velvet Eyeshadow in 05 Subtle Gray*: this is part of Sephora’s summer collection. Velvet eyeshadows are cream eyeshadows in a glass pot. Its texture is like a soft mousse, a lot softer than Chanel Illusion d’Ombre. Colour is a cool taupe with purplish undertones. It may appear similar to Chanel Illusoir but the latter is warmer. I’ll do a comparison between these eyeshadows. Sephora Velvet Eyeshadow is easy to work and perfect as a wash of colour when you’re in a hurry. I always prefer using a bese underneath to avoid any crease even after several hours.

Dio che bella quella palette :Q___ quasi quasi te la chiederei quale offerta per partecipare al TMP :3 #dazio ;D
