SS15 Nail Trends – from NYFW & MFW

It’s time to talk about what we’ve seen during past 2014 New York and Milan Fashion Weeks. Fashion month has just ended so we are able to see what SS15 Nail Trends will be.

I’m going to show you some backstages’ photos where Antonio Sacripante and his team used Morgan Taylor nail polishes.

SS15 Nail Trends at 2014 New York Fashion Week varies among reverse french, matte dark and glossy natural colours.

Chris Gelinas‘ manicure mix textures and contrasting colours. A grafic moon manicure with I’m Charmed (pastel pink) with matte top coat Mattes A Wrap. Then, New School Nude (classic beige) with a glossy top coat.

Sally LaPointe chose youthful and elegant nails: a lavender grey perfect for the minimal mood from this collection. Finish is matte with two mixed colours: Something To Blog About (a luminous, iridiscent violet) and Scene Queen (a shimmering grey). Top coat is Mattes A Wrap.

For Carmen Marc Valvo Morgan Taylor‘s team chose a two colours manicure: The Little Black Dress (black) and On Snap, It’s Silver (iridiscent pearl grey). To re-create this look you have to apply first silver nail polish, then the black one creating a reverse french manicure. To complete this styling apply a matte top coat only onto black nail polish.

Monique Lhuillier‘s manicure is very elegant and feminine. Nail styling is an exclusive mix with Color Me Bold (coral) with Up Roses (mauve) at nail’s base. It is an ombré effect with a glossy tip, just like pastel colours in the sky at dawn.

Now let’s see SS15 Nail Trends from 2014 Milan Fashion Week catwalks, always with Morgan Taylor and Antonio Sacripante‘s team.

Every item in Antonio Marras‘ collection is a unique piece connected to others in order to create a fil rouge that tells a story: an homage to XX century Italian icon Carol Rama. For this nail look Antonio Sacripante chose two colours to create a reverse french manicure. Polished Up is a creamy nude that is so romantic and feminine; over this light shade we have a dark burgundy to give more sensuality. The same burgundy shade is applied on toes as well, with Need For Speed top coat.

Ermanno Scervino‘s collection is all about a delicate elegance with a glamour touch. This nail look is ultra chic: natural nails with a super glossy finish thanks to two coats of Need For Speed top coat. Lenght is natural as well with oval and almond shape. On toes a deep burgundy: From Paris With Love.

For DSquared2 a high impact mirror manicure. Nails become highlights thanks to nail patches paired with Little Black Dress nail polish and Need For Speed top coat.

Stella Jean‘s collection celebrate a cultural symposium and Antonio Sacripante chose a simple manicure with a ultra glossy finish to create an ‘acquatic’ effect. Shade is Heaven Sent (creamy pale pink) with Made It Last top coat. On toes a more audacious look with glittery Where’s My Crown?
