MAC Makeover – Birthday edition
MAC cosmetics‘ services include a makeover for your birthday and yesterday I had mine MAC Makeover. I told MUA Valeria to do whatever she wanted, since I have no problem with colours nor a bold makeup. It ended up with a make up that really suits my colouring and my tastes. Very classic and beautifying in its result in plummy and burgundy tones.
Valeria started applying on my clean and moisturized skin a primer and she chose Natural Radiance. I was so curious about this one because I’ve always seen it in fashion shows’ backastages. Valeria explained to me that this primer is good for a combination skin because it helps to control oil in T-zone area but it gives a radiant, luminous finish to the rest of the face.
Then she did eye make up. Paint Pot Soft Ochre (nex purchase for sure!) as a base and over it Gesso eyeshadow all over lid. This matte white scared me a bit but used in the way she did it looked absolutely stunning! She defined my eyes with Blacktrack fluidline. My eyes are a bit hooded, I don’t have the ‘perfect eye’ for a classic cat-eye eyeliner but with this trick I can have it work for me: with 211 brush she drew the final flick and then she went back tracing a filling a bold line. With Haux eyeshadow she defined my crease blendind it well with 224 brush and then Sketch eyeshadow for a deep outer v with 219 brush. On my lower lashline, Black Ice Pro Longwear Eye Liner blended out with Sketch. Haute & Naughty Mascara as final touch.
For my face she used Pro Longwear Foundation in NC15 and Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20 on my dark circles. A bit of Blot Powder and no strong contouring, only Gleeful Mineralize Blush to define my cheekbone structure. As highlighting touch she used Cream Colour Base in Pearl on my cheekbones, inner corner of the eyes, browbones and Cupid’s bow.
For my brows she used my beloved Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Deep Dark Brunette with Espresso eyeshadow for a softer look.
Last final trick is about lips: she applied Media lipstick with 217 brush for a soft, blendend and undefined look, then she pressed a bit of colour on my lips’ angles with 242 brush. I’m so in love with this technique! So helpful when you can’t pull off too dark lipsticks or if you prefer a destructured look.
Unfortunately I could take a photo of my MAC makeover only at the end of the day, after a terrible hot day when I was in a hurry. Nevertheless I hope you can still see and appreciate this lovely MAC makeover.
