Coats: what to buy right now

Time for sales, time for getting all top items for this Fall Winter 2014-15 season. This year we saw a great return of cocoon coats: plaid tartan patterns, oversize, cloaks and capes. The keywords are: comfort & cozy to wrap yourself in.

I selected some cocoon coats that you can’t live without this winter so get them while you can during sales.

It all started with stars’ street style featuring personalised Burberry check ponchos, from Olivia Palermo to Sarah Jessica Parker to Cara Delevingne to Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley. If you’re not really into a blanket over your shoulders you should opt for a more classic trench cape in that infamous light camel gabardine. If you prefer a classic coat choose one with a wrapping collar and an oversize or masculine cut, such as this Ralph Lauren double-faced one in the most classic contrasting colours (light camel and black) or this wine red one from Choies: low cost and in the latest colour trend, simply perfection. If you can’t resist to tartan patterns take a look at these ones from Madewell (modern boyfriend zip style in black / white) and Chicwish, a mix between a drape and a coat in shades of camel and grey.
