MAC is Beauty Looking Good & Our Secret

I was waiting for a collection like MAC is Beauty for so long. Not for all those lustre lipsticks nor for those pastel eyeshadows. But when I saw that there were tons of new and old favourites fluidlines I started making lists like crazy. Fluidlines are my favourite product from MAC Cosmetics so far and I was wishing for a loooong time that they could bring out some new colours.

Now my dream came true thanks to MAC is Beauty collection. After another great add to my fluidline collection with Royal Wink from Philip Treacy collection, I started watching online swathces of MAC is Beauty collection. After I made my decision I placed an order on Italian MAC website. I must confess: I also fell in love with MAC is Beauty make up brushes, especially 137 and 221 but I was short of money so I had to pass. I don’t know if I’m going to get them since MAC is Beauty is already in stores and I doubt that make up brushes are already sold out. However, we’ll see.

Right now I want to talk about my picks from MAC is Beauty fluidlines. I fell in love with so many colours but I ended up getting the most original one and the most useful one. I’m talking about Looking Good and Our Secret.

Everyone describes Looking Good like a burgungy colour. To me, it appears as a blackened red. I don’t know if it’s my fair skin but I honestly can’t see it any burgundy in it. Nevertheless, I’m not disappointed. I am a big fan of red base colours on my brown eyes and Looking Good makes my eyes uber pretty: brighter and lighter without making them looking sick. Its formula is very smooth and creamy, more than other fluidlines I own. It is not a super dark, intense colour so you may like to building up its colour. However I think it’s perfect as it is.

I was looking for ages for a colour like Our Secret. It is a taupey medium brown with a touch of bronze in it. A quite complex colour, not really a plain boring brown. Again, it complements beautifully my eyes making them look bigger. It is a bit less soft than Looking Good but as that one it is not a dark eyeliner. Its colour remains subtle but it is supposed to be so since it does have a great pigmentation.

I love using these two fluidlines not only to line my eyes, as classic eyeliner or on the waterline, but also as cream eyeshadows. Believe me, fluidlines are the most perfect cream eyeshadows or coloured bases you can think of!

It’s still uncertain but it seems that most of MAC is Beauty fluidlines are going to be permanent, though Looking Good seems to be limited edition. But I’m not sure, you should check with your local store.
