May 2015 Favourites – My Most Played
I really couldn’t wait to talk about my May 2015 Favourites aka my most used products for #teammostplayed series (created by my beloved Goldenvi0let). There are a lot of new entries which I’m currently loving so much. I hope I can talk about these products more in depth in the near future.

- Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate: I was initially really skeptical about this new English low cost brand. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try. I bought I Heart Chocolate some months ago and I was so impressed that I bought this one when it came out. This is supposed to be Lorac Unzipped palette’s dupe. I don’t own the latter to do a comparison. However, these eyeshadows are well pigmented, last all day with an eyeshadow base and are easy to blend. Plus, I’m in love with all these colours: rose golds, burgundy, rosy taupes etc. At £7.99 this is really a deal.
- Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Cosmeceutical Youth-Boosting Mattifying Face Powder*: I wouldn’t say that this is a mattifying powder since it does contain extremely finely milled shimmers. It’s a strange product: not really a setting powder nor a highlighter. I’d define it as a luminizing finishing powder. It’s not as shimmery as a disco ball, it is most like a subtle, elengant sheen. It reminds me a bit of MAC MSF Lightscapade. I just can’t stop using it everyday: it gives me an extremely natural enlighting effect. I love it as a subtle highlighter or as an all over before a night out to add a touch of extra luminosity.
- Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Walk Of Shame Lipstick: only a few words about this. Best lipstick ever. I love the colour and the formulation: a warm, brown-based berry with a velvety, comfortable formula. This is a non-drying matte finish, really soft and buildable. On me, this colour is just like a my lips but better shade but on same people it may appear too warm or brown.
- Innisfree Water Glow Cushion SPF50+ n°13: I have to talk about my love for Korean cosmetics asap. This one of those ‘original’ cushion products. It’s different from any traditional foundation or bb cream I’ve tried so far. I’d define this product as a tinted, perfectioning sunscreen. It provides a good coverage on imperfections and a radiant and moisturized look. This is the lightest colour and it’s around a MAC N10-15.
- Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Powder: I tend to neglect this powder, I don’t know why. It’s maybe the best setting, transparent powder I’ve ever tried. As you all know, this kind of powder is silica-based but they all have different performances. This one doesn’t leave that infamous white cast flashback, it sets make up and mattifies T-zone without drying out skin. Highly recommended.
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Luminous Flush: I waited for so long before buying this blush. I love the Ambient Lighting Palette (while I’m not fond of Diffused Powder). Everyone went on talking and debating about these blushes. Many reviews stated that these have a poor colour payoff and they are barely visible on skin. I don’t know what kind of skin these people have, but on me Luminous Flush is amazingly pigmented, effortlessly blendable and gives a natural radiant flush which is absolutely adorable.
