Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss: The Revolutionary Gloss
This Summer launching new Artist Plexi-Gloss, Make Up For Ever revolutionised the ‘lip gloss’ concept. In fact, Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss is totally different from every lip gloss you’ve tried before.
Talking about the packaging, Artist Plexi-Gloss comes in a minimal transparent tube. The real innovation is in the applicator: it is specifically designed to be extremely flexible. This allows you to envelop your entire lips in a single gesture. Due to its exclusive shape it can adapt to each kind of lip shape. Furthermore, its big split-tip has a unique contour in order to deliver the right amount of colour: you don’t have to sweep off the excess and you don’t have to reapply to get an even result.
What about the product itself. Artist Plexi-Gloss comes in 35 shades, classified in opaque and sheer shades. I had the opportunity to receive two Artist Plexi-Gloss in different colours to try.
Artist Plexi-Gloss in 400 Orange Red* is a warm based red, not too much orange indeed and it is classified as opaque shade. I have to admit this is the most pigmented lip gloss I’ve ever seen. To me, it is more similar to a liquid lipstick than a lip gloss. The colour is bright and elegant at the same time. If you like statement red lips and you want to try a warm based red you should give it a try. The shine is something exceptional: it’s just like vinylic polish. With its opaque colour, your lips seems photoshopped, in a good way. It’s not only extremely mirror-like on the surface: it smoothes and polishes your lips making them looking fuller and moisturized. The lips remains smooth and hydrated for several hours while the gloss lasts up to 3-4 hours leaving a slight stain.
I’m not as excited about Artist Plexi-Gloss 100 Pearly Light Beige*. It’s part of sheer range and it’s quite different from the one above. As you can guess, it has a poor pigmentation – although it is supposed to be sheer – and with its nude colour it is almost invisible on lips, especially pigmented lips. It has a lot of micro pearlized golden shimmers which it makes it perfect for summer. If you don’t dare bright lip colours and you’re more into nude and sheer colours you may love it. On me, it lasts a couple of hours.
