MAC Dazzleshadow Slow/Fast/Slow
MAC Dazzleshadow is a brand new formula came out with Le Disko Collection for Summer 2015. Dazzleshadows are really different from any MAC eyeshadow released before. They remind me a lot of Urban Decay Moondust eyeshadows even if I found the texture a bit different. In a few words, MAC Dazzleshadow is a sort of pressed pigment infused with duochrome reflects and highly reflective sparkles. I am not a glitter lover, to be hones I really hate fall outs, glitters all over my face, sparkles everywhere and so on so I was really prejudiced about this collection.
Nevertheless, when I swatched these eyeshadows in my local MAC store I was literally speechless. They are all amazingly beautiful, you can’t help to look at them stunningly. These days I read not-so-enthusiastic reviews about them. I honestly can’t understand why so many people didn’t love them. And beware I’m talking as a sparkling-hater. Frankly, there are a couple of colours quite sheer but mostly of them have a great pigmentation and a smooth texture which is really surprising for a glitter eyeshadow. To me, they are like foiled eyeshadows with added dazzles. They go on so well that didn’t even try them on a base. Of course, if you desire an intense effect which stays on for a long time, the best way to apply them is to pat them with a synthetic fibre brush over an eyeshadow base (or a Paint Pot if you like them). You can even get the maximum result using them wet.
I was uncertain if getting Slow/Fast/Slow or Boom Boom Room. I really like them both. However I ended up getting the former.

MAC Dazzleshadow Slow/Fast/Slow is described as a bronze with red sparkles. The colour changes considerably under different lights. Sometimes it is a copper bronze, sometimes it is a rose gold, sometimes it even leads towards a warm mauve. I really can’t recall a prettiest eyeshadow. Sparkles adhere well to the colour base. I only tried it a few times but I’m really excited about it because I did experience zero fall out and on me lasted *perfectly* even under an exceptional heat of 37°C / 100°F with no base (!).
The only downside about it is the price tag: €24.50 is really too much money for 1g of eyeshadow. However if you can afford at least one of the bunch, MAC Dazzleshadow are really an amazing formula.
