March 2015 Favourites: my Most Played
March has been a delirious month. I’ve been so busy with last proofreading of my PhD dissertation so I’m feeling really, really tired. By the way, I feel relieved to stop my work for some moments for writing my March 2015 Favourites, aka my most played (post series from my beloved Goldenvi0let™) products for past month.
I am really happy for this fast transition towards Spring. Though I didn’t spend too much time on super elaborated make up looks. I kept my eyes really easy and natural with a nude eyelid and simply curled eyelashes. Plus, I changed my foundation very often so I couldn’t pick a most played one.
Nevertheless I’ve been faithful to new Sephora Precision 3D Spong*: its tridimensional shape is perfect to apply foundation and concealer smoothly, for an amazing flawless result. You can reach every corner of your face and I really love it for applying under-eye concealer. Talking about under-eye concealer, I’m still deeply in love with Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Youth Boosting Dark Circle Corrector + Concealer*. The light yellow side brightens my under-eye area reducing the appearance of dark circles.
Talking about the rest of my face make up I stuck to two cheek products: Bourjois Cream Blush in Sweet Cherry and MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Porcelain Pink. I’m not really fond of this Bourjois blush. Everyone seems getting mad at every Bourjois product but I do find them hits and miss. I really appreciate their foundations and I think they’re the best low cost foundations I’ve seen so far (and they are really comparable to high end ones) but the other products I’ve tried are quite average. I don’t particularly dislike this blush but it’s nothing exceptional. The colour it doesn’t seem a cherry at all, it’s not so red and way too warm; I’d say it’s a peachy pink with terracotta undertones. Then its texture is not really finely milled, may appear patchy and tends to fade after a few hours. MAC Porcelain Pink is a limited edition that I depotted. I love to apply it with Mizuho Cheek Brush with squirrel hair.
Last but not least, lipsticks. These have been my favourite choices. As you can see I preferred using warm tones, from Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Walk of Shame (love the name) which is my perfect warm based my lips but better colour. I’d describe it as a warm berry shade, the formula is simply amazing. Then Sephora Rouge Infusion The Neutrals in 18 Peach*. This product is a strange combination of a liquid lipstick and a tint, I really can’t say the difference because it’s creamy like a liquid lipstick but its texture is as this as water then it dries just like a tint. Then a new lipstick from Diego Dalla Palma Spring Summer 2015 Collection*. It’s called Shiny Lipstick and it’s a super cute shade of coral, with a sheer, juicy finish perfect for these sunny days.
