REN Radiance Perfecting Serum: my review
During last year I changed my skincare routine. Previously I was used to choose only completely organic products, raw ingredients and oils. But my skin wasn’t so great. Then I had a lot of breakouts due to medical troubles. Oils and pure ingredients were too heavy and I preferred to transit to something more chemical and controlled. I tried some (pricey) not pharmacy brands, but still with precious and organic ingredients that work well with my skin.
REN is one of these brands. I fell in love with any product I’ve tried so far. Today I want to talk about REN Radiance Perfecting Serum. It is the serum par of Radiance range, a complete line with REN Resurfacing AHA Concentrate, REN Micro Polish Cleanser, REN Satin Perfection BB Cream SPF 15, Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask and this REN Radiance Perfecting Serum.
First I have to say that this product is really pricey. Not only because is a REN product but because serums are always extremely expensive. Luckly I bought it on Beauty Expert with a 20% discount code. This is the first serum for me. I wanted to try one since Lisa Eldridge said that she preferred serums to moisturizer because they hydrate skin without being heavy. And this is a great option for all those who have acne prone skin.
REN Radiance Perfecting Serum, as stated on official description, “helps to boost the cell energy cycle and replenish the skin. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to help even and plump the skin; Liquorice and Tyronsinase to help regulate pigmentation while Trace elements and Vitamin C improve the skin’s energy cycle and function. Leaves the complexion with perfect skin tone, boosted radiance and enhanced luminosity.”
And here it is complete ingredients’ list:
Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Water, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Oil, Cetearyl Olivate, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Phospholipids, Sorbitan Olivate, Vaccinium Vitis-Idaea (Lingonberry) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Glycogen, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Panax Ginseng Root Extact, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Rumex Occidentalis Extract, Gynostemma Pentaphyllum Leaf Extract, Olivine Extract, Lactic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Passiflora Quadrangularis Fruit Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Parfum* (Fragrance), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulfite, Limonene, Linalool, Citral. *100% natural fragrance – parfum 100% naturel.
As I said I used this serum as daily moisturizer, sometimes twice a day, since October and I’ve just finished it. So as you can see it’s pricey but a little goes a long way. Texture is quite liquid but not too running; with a tiny amount you can do all your face, if you use too much product you’ll have to work it a little into your skin to be absorbed. Scent is very pleasant and not overwhelming: it smells like fresh fruits, specifically citrus. After I used REN Radiance Perfecting Serum my skin looks resh, hydrated and radiant. It also reduced a bit my spots. My skin texture is smoother and polished.
I’ve been very happy with this product, now I have other serums to try but I’d definitely repurchase it.
