The Brian and Barry Building Haul

Hi! Today’s post is about my recent The Brian and Barry Building haul. The Brian and Barry Building opened last week in Milan and -among a lot of Italian culinary delights and great designers – there is a Sephora counter with all most niche brands, such as Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tom Ford Beauty and Hourglass cosmetics. Hourglass cosmetics is a The Brian and Barry Building exclusive so I can find it only in that store.

I already knew and bought Hourglass cosmetics from UK, such as the Ambient Lighting Palette (limited edition for Holiday 2013, read my review here) and the Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light (review and comparisons coming soon!). It has been really exciting looking at those gorgeous products in real life finally. Ambient Lighting Blushes seem amazing, especially Radiant Magenta, I was so hesitant to pick just one thing! Veil Mineral Primer is the best primer I tried so far but the full size (I had a travel size which came with Ambient Lighting Palette) was so pricey! I’ve been also tempted by Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick but in the end I’ve been captured by infamous Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. Every blogger is talking about this product and I was wondering if all this hype is worth. Well, I only tried it a couple of times but believe me, this is the best eyebrow pencil you can find out there. I love MAC Eye Brow Pencil in Spiked, like Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil in Warm Brunette but this one is far way better. Colour is so perfect, mine is Soft Brunette and it’s not too dark, too warm nor greyish. Texture isn’t too soft so you can draw little and precise strokes. Then triangular shape is really unique and provides extreme precision.

Then I bought a Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in n°17 Plum. I already own n° 19 Vibrant Purple but this one is a so better texture! A lot softer and easy to blend. On me it is more burgundy than plum but if pat it on my lid without blending too much I can see all plummy reflects.

In the end let me show you some more things from my The Brian and Barry Building haul: I’ve never seen such a large selection of Yankee Candles! I chose some tarts in sweet and springy scents I couldn’t find anywhere else.

Then I had some samples from Estelle & Thild, a brand I didn’t know before. It’s completly organic and I absolutely love the packaging. I already tried the Rose Otto Serum and I’ve been really pleased by its quality.
