MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil – Sharon Osbourne Collection

Today’s post is about my impressions of MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil. MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil is part of MAC Cosmetics Sharon Osbourne Collection, you can see full official informations here.

Since I’m a berry lover I immediately noticed MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil, among all other products from this collection. At first I was planning to get Kelly Yum Yum lipstick (part of Kelly Osbourne Collection) but it was already sold out and after all I’m happy with just one cool fuchsia since I own Embrace Me. Furthermore I made a back2mac with retro matte Flat Out Fabulous, a gorgeous deep magenta with purple undertone.

I really appreciate MAC Cosmetics lip pencils, they’re always so underrated! But in my opinion they are smooth, precise and you get a good amount for the price. I mean classic lip pencils because I really hated pro longwear ones. So I’m always excited when I see new lip pencil colours in limited edition collections. Among MAC lip pencils I already own Beet, Magenta, Vino, Cherry and Half-Red. What I really like about them is that you can pair them with a lot of lipstick shades, for example I use Magenta with all my fuchsia, hot pink and bright purple lipsticks; Beet with all berry and pink-red tones and some burgundy; Vino with all vampy lipsticks; Cherry with all classic reds and Half-Red with all plums, mauves, mlbb. They are comfortable on lips and I like to use them even on their own for a super long lasting lip colour.

MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil is quite different from cranberry fruit though. It is a lot more muted and warm toned. I’d describe MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil as a warm pink with a touch of red and a slightly brick undertone. To me it doesn’t contain so much warm / peach undertones to be called coral. It is not a bright colour: it’s soft, muted and quite deep. It can worls as a my lips but better colour if you have a warm complexion. However, I see it well with all warm pink, some pinkish coral and some warm reddish lipsticks. Texture is extremely smooth, perfect to be used alone on your lips. Lasting power is great as my other MAC lip pencil, with this one I got 11 hours of wear before fading.

Here you can see MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil compared to another berry shade, MAC Craving. As you can see, MAC Cranberry Lip Pencil is a lot warmer while MAC Craving is cool and more plum.
