April 2015 Favourites – My Most Played
April is passed by so quickly and I can barely figure out that we’re already in May! Here it is another post for my most played make up products (GoldenVi0let™). These days I’m testing some new exciting products which I received as press sample along with some old favourite, so I’ll tell you something about them before writing a focused complete review.
So, these are my April 2015 Favourites.
April 2015 Favourites
Let’s start with base make up. I’m totally in love with this new Make Up For Ever face primer. A complete new range of primers have been launched this Spring 2015 in order to replace old HD primer. I quite loved the previous version but let me say that these new primers are on another level. I received Step 1 Skin Equalizer*. Every primer in this range has a specific function; this one is called Smoothing Base so it is supposed to smooth skin’s surface, minimizing enlarged pores, fill wrinkles and even out skintone. So many things, uh? Well, I must admit that it does what it states. It leaves a matte, satin finish without drying out skin. My skin is super smooth and all my imperfections are barely visible. It makes my foundation application a lot easier and smooth like velvet. Plus, it makes foundation last all day long.
This past month I used mostly SVR Laboratoires Hydraliane BB Cream*. You all know how much I love both French skincare products and Korean bb creams and this bb cream is a nice discover. It hydrates my skin as a good moisturizer and it has the same great coverage than any Korean orignal bb cream. Plus, its Light shade is really a light colour. It matches perfectly a N15 skintone.
I’m always in love with my beloved MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade bought back in 2007 (!). It is one of the most elegant and subtle highlighter I’ve ever seen but I like using it as a finishing powder with a fluffy brush and a light end.

A light end is also a necessity when it comes to this new Sephora Colorful blush*. Sephora recently completely renewed its blush range and believe me when I say that this I’m shocked! n°09 is the most pigmented blush I’ve ever seen, even more than my Nars Desire. I barely touch its surface with a duo fibre brush (MAC 188) and I get plenty of colour!
On my eyes I can’t stop using this new Kiko launch. It is called Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow and it is simply a cream eyeshadow in a pot. I chose n°03 Mat Light Mahogany and I absolutely adore this colour. Just can’t get enough.

I also discovered that orange tones look surprisingly good on my eyes: this MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo in Spiced Metal* has one gorgeous rust shade in it with a good colour payoff and finely milled shimmers. A really underrated product you should check out.
Then, my lips. I forced myself using Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in n°06 Roomiest Rose. Everyone seems to love this product except me. I really don’t know why: it isn’t bad but I simply didn’t fell in love with it.
