Aurora Red – Fall Winter 2014-15 Colour Trend
Second post for my Fall Winter 2014-15 Colour Trend series. This time let’s talk about Aurora Red, one of my favourite fall winter 2014-15 colour trend.
Aurora Red – 18-1550 is described by Pantone as a sophisticated shade of red that adds verve and spark. When I think about Aurora Red I think about those red highlights in an aurora in Norway sky. I really like red as a fall winter colour, it is always so festive, warm and yet vivid during cold days.
Here there are some Aurora Red beauty inspirations. It is a warm based red with some earthy undertones and somewhat quite muted. I can’t help choosing various red lipsticks. I can suggest to take a look at new Nars Audacious Lipstick range, in Marlene. Then a big classic and my personal favourite red lipstick: MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam I. And MAC Cosmetics again with Oblivion lipstick, a quite classic warm bright red from MAC Rocky Horror Picture Show collection, coming out in next few days. Then velvet lips: with Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet and Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipstick in So Marilyn.

And now it’s time for some Aurora Red fashion inspirations. I really like this Aurora Red strong attitude when it comes to clothes. I chose a biker leather jacket (you don’t have to buy this from Balmain of course!) to pair with an A-line skirt for a sweeter look or with coated skinny jeans for a killer look! As accessories I chose a classic borsalino style hat and classic leather gloves.
