BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream
Today’s review is about the most amazing stuff I discovered this Summer. I’ve had already seen BareMinerals Complexion Rescue during Italian Sephora‘s press day for Spring Summer 2015 but I’ve waited some months before getting it. I was already used to BB creams and CC creams so I thought I didn’t need this new product. Well, I was wrong.
First, let me say I didn’t have any tinted moisturizer. BB creams and CC creams are slightly different products and they feel a bit heavier than a traditional tinted moisturizer.
Second, last two months have been awfully hot and I couldn’t stand pretty anything on my face. Nevertheless, I didn’t want to walk around with a bare face.
When I tried BareMinerals Complexion Rescue I fell in love immediately. It is a tinted moisturizer, indeed, but it has some more coverage and a bit of colour correction even if it does feel nothing on skin. I’d describe it as a super lightweight tinted moisturizer – BB cream – CC cream all in one. Its unique texture is described as a gel but I think it’s in-between a gel and a mousse-like texture. It has a surprisingly cooling and refreshing effect on skin that is super delightful in the heat.
It doesn’t cover all imperfections, of course but it kinda blurres them making the complexion a lot more even. I’d say it has a sheer coverage buildable up to almost medium coverage. The finish is extremely natural and dewy: it gives you that natural looking, glowing healthy skin that I love so much. Of course, this is not the right product for you if you have an extremely oily skin and if you prefer matte finishes. To be more precise, it makes your skin looking dewy but not greasy and I have a combination skin.
BareMinerals Complexion Rescue‘s major claim is to be super hydrating for thirsty skin with “a 215% increase in skin hydration after just one week”. I can see many mineral and botanical ingredients which help to maintain the skin hydrated and energetic. I can really feel how it hydrates my drier areas and it is really restoring after a day in the sun where UV rays damage skin deeply.
It also has a non chemical, mineral based broad spectrum SPF30 which is really good if you have a sensitive skin.
Its price is correct since a little goes a long way: you can find BareMinerals Complexion Rescue at Sephora‘s at €28.90.
In Italy there are 5 colours available where the fairest is 02 Vanilla. I feared that 02 Vanilla could be too dark for my fair complexion but it fortunately is really similar to Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream in Ivory. Maybe during winter I’d need 01 Opal, though.
