Blooming Pink Make Up
May is coming and when I think about spring I can’t help thinking about flowers in bloom, roses, peonies and cherry blossoms. All nature is a blooming pink. So I thought about all make up that makes me think about pink flowers and spring in bloom.
Here there are my blooming pink beauty inspirations.
When I think about spring and flowers I always think about cool and tender pink. I selected these amazing beauty products which makes you feel really springful and in bloom without looking too childish (aka too fake and pastel).
Let’s start with an all time cult product. I’m talking about the infamous T.Leclerc Loos Powder in Orchidée. It is a colour correcting powder which is supposed to add a touch of freshness to sallow and tired complexions. Is there anything more beauty than that vintage metal packaging? It is completely matte and provides great coverage so be careful to use it with a light hand!
Then another cult: NARS Lipgloss in Turkish Delight. The Kim Kardashian‘s favourite shade, along with MAC Angel. It is a delicious milky, nude pink perfect for all nude make up lovers out there. It is not too cool so it is quite flattering on many complexions.
Another NARS product: there is nothing more springful than Gaiety blush. NARS blushes are my favourites out there and this shade is one of the latest addition to their permanent range. It is the most cool toned pink I can think about, here you can read my review and a comparison with Desire blush.
Last but not least, two other great blush options from Shu Uemura. I think this is one of the most underrated brand maybe because it is quite hard to find, at least here in Italy. The first product is the Glow On Blush, a powder blush which is also available as a refill. Shu Uemura Glow On Blush offers the largest variety and the most original shades out there, in my opinion. M Pink 33B is the most unique and beautiful cool pink blush I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It is a light, delicate, cool pink with lilac undertones with a matte finish. Despite is light colour, it has a great colour payoff even if it supposed to give a transparent flush to your cheeks. Thanks to its purplish undertones it also have an almost fluorescent sheen. I don’t know if you can still find it but I fear it is a discontinued shade.
Another beautiful Shu Uemura blush, this time in cream form. And another unavailable product, forgive me. This is Shu Uemura Silk Cushion Blusher in Rose Quartz, part of Bijoux collection (spring 2014 collection). I bought this blush when cushion products were still an unknown concept in this part of the world on Spacenk at a ridiculous sale price. It comes in a plastic pot with a great amount of product (4 grams). It’s nothing like a traditional cream blush but it is more like a spongy cushion. It is an extremely natural tender pink with silver micro shimmers. One of the prettiest piece in my make up stash, indeed.
