I’m interested in social media marketing and management so I was wondering how brands interact with consumers in the social media era.
At Intercharm I was able to interview Alessandro Viale from Faby Line, Italian distributor for OPI.
Let’s see his answers to my questions.
(Translation is mine)
Me: How the interaction with customers has changed with Facebook’s and Youtube’s coming?
Alessandro: We have now the chance to interact directly with customers so we can have an immediate feedback.
Me: Which is your preferred channel?
Alessandro: In Italy it’s Facebook that wins, indeed. Our target is the widest as possible, from 18 to 65. Youtube is not the best for distributors, it’s better for brands. Nevertheless videos are the new frontier.
Me: Towards which direction the interaction with customers is going?
Alessandro: OPI has been one of the first stands to open to public during exhibitions. Then we open a OPI Facebook Italian page and it was boom. We understood the difficulties for Italian customers to be able to buy OPI so we opened an online shop. We have extremely positive feedbacks.

sì vabbé, boom per via del contest, dovevi avere per forza facebook per partecipare oltre a un blog o non eri nessuno…
