Cayenne Spring Summer 2014 Colour Trend
Hi! It’s time to go back to Spring Summer 2014 Colour Trend posts series: after Dazzling Blue, it’s time to talk about a warm colour and I chose as first Cayenne. Cayenne is one of Spring Summer 2014 Colour Trend stated by Pantone in Spring 2014 Pantone Fashion Color Report and it’s codified as 18-1651. Cayenne evokes to me a complex mix of warm and comforting tones: a coral base with a touch of peach and one of warm pinky-red. To me it recalls African sunsets, with all of their warmth and peace. It’s not difficult to see this tone in a lot of recent beauty launches.
Let’s start with the ultimate must have: Clinique Cheek Pop in 01 Ginger Pop. It’s on my wishlist since it came out, it’s not only the beautiful flower pattern but it seems to have one of the most amazing texture in blushes’ world. Another great blush choice is Bourjois Cream Blush in 04 Sweet Cherry: it’s between peach and warm red, it has become a favourite of mine during last couple of months. Since I just can’t get enough cream blushes here it is anothe suggestion: Tarte Cheek Stain in Blissful. I have it in a different shade but I do find these blushes worth their hype.
Let’s talk about lips now. Everything it’s mad about Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms right now (yeah, me too. I’ll talk about it soon) and n°245 Audacious seems to recall Cayenne indeed. Chanel is always a trendsetter and Le Vernis in Tapage is the most perfect Cayenne colour as long as Rouge Allure Velvet La Favorite (from last year collection). MAC cosmetics has always some great classic in its permanent range: Crosswires (Cremesheen finish) is a perfect spring-summer shade.
What about fashion? I find stunningly beautiful this Kate Spade wallet, don’t you?
