December 2015 Favourites: My Most Played
It’s time for another #teammostplayed (GoldenVi0let™) post, right after Christmas aka my December 2015 favourites and most played makeup products. I hope you spent a nice time with your families and loved ones. These days I’m pretty excited for my job as beauty editor for a new Italian magazine (check out JunGlam!). I’m really happy to be able to do the work I love with a super lovely team. Right now I’m quite busy but I’m glad to return to my little corner Kenderasia once in a while. I decided to anticipate my December 2015 favourites post by a couple of days in order to do another post about my 2015 staples and best beauty products.
Let’s go straight to the point. I rediscovered some old but gold products for my base makeup. I’m talking about Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation. I like this one so much better than the classic Healthy Mix version. It glides easier on skin thanks to its gel texture and it doesn’t oxidize at all. I use n°51 Light Vanilla. Underneath I’m enjoying Becca Rejuvenating primer. I got it with a huge deal during a big sale on Fragrancedirect. I don’t know if you can still find it since they renewed the entire line. It has a creamy and lightweight texture that doesn’t feel heavy and suffocating on skin. It makes enlarged pores and fine lines less visible creating a flawless canvas. As for concealer, I’m loving Youngblood Ultimate Corrector (review here). It has a orangey-peachy corrector for dark circles and a pale yellow which is supposed to be used as highlighter. It is creamy and doesn’t crease. It also conceals all shadows around the eye area giving a well-rested look.
As for eyes makeup, I can’t stop using this super lovely MAC Cosmetics palette eyeshadow x 9 Burgundy Times Nine. It contains all my favourite neutral warm based colours plus some burgundy staple shades. Quality is the same as regular eyeshadows. It is small and compact, perfect for travelling. Another recent love is MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot Groundwork. This warm taupe shade gives a natural wash of colour which looks really pretty when I’m on a hurry or as a base for other colours.
For my lips I switched between two Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipsticks. I own three of these, but this month I only wore Exorcism and Lolita. I honestly think that there isn’t any colour as gorgeous and unique as these ones out there. Plus, the formula is great: weightless, smooth, long lasting and comfortable on lips.
As a final touch, MAC Cosmetics Fix+ is always a great classic. I don’t know why I stopped buying it some years ago. It gives a fresh, radiant and youthful look removing any chalkiness.
Quelle tinte di Kat Von D devono essere più che bellissime!! 🙂
il fix + dovrei decidermi a comprarlo, ogni volta che è stato usato su di me in negozio mi è piaciuto un sacco…
