January 2017 Beauty Favourites (and not so favourites)
Here I am with my beloved monthly recap. Maybe I am a bit late but I want to share my January 2017 Beauty Favourites. This winter I’m focusing on skincare products so my daily morning routine has been speeded up when it comes to make up. I’ve had less time to experiment with colours and elaborated make ups, sadly.
I stuck to a few products which I really like for when I’m in a hurry. So, here there are my January 2017 beauty favourites:
MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Timechek Lotion
A hybrid product between make up and skincare. It should work as a make up base and a facial lotion. It is supposed to contain anti aging ingredients and to have an optical blurring effect on imperfections and fine lines. To be honest I’m not really impressed. It is a pricey product and I was expecting to see something different. I don’ get any skincare benefit, it doesn’t moisturize and it’s only a ok primer. I won’t buy it again.
Zoeva Strobe Gel Halo
I think this is a rean underrated gem! I’ve never read anything about it and I bought it on a whim but it’s a so cool and unique product! It is a bouncy highlighting gel in a glass pot. It’s just like a jelly think with a pleasent cooling effect. I dab it onto my cheeckbones and it looks great! It’s natural but with a lovely, evident glow, not glittery at all. It looks better if applied on cream products rather than powder.
Nabla Cosmetics Crème Shadow Dusk
This cream eyeshadow came out with Goldust collection. It is the prettiest rose gold eyeshadow I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t crease even without an eye primer and it lasts all day. A big win when I just need a wash of colour to compliment my brown eyes.
Nars Bette Audacious Lipstick
One of the most beautiful burgundy lipsticks out there. Period. It doesn’t bleed, it’s dark, deep, creamy and lasts for so long. Check it out, it is worth!
MAC Cosmetics Dionysus Liptensity
A gift from my beloved A Lost Girl. She knows I have a thing for this kind of colour. It’s a creamy burgundy with a warm base. Even if it’s quite glossy it doesn’t bleed or slip. I love that it has an opaque finish and an incredible pigmentation even if it’s not matte.
