Japanese beauty at Ambiente 2015: Mizuho Brush

Many readers maybe already know what Ambiente 2015 is. For those who don’t know, Ambiente 2015 is an international trade fair and exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany, where over 4,700 exhibitors from 89 countries showcase an international range of consumer goods. There you have the opportunity to see functional innovations and new design trends.

From 13th to 17th February 2015, Densan – The Association for the Promotion of Traditional Craft Industries will exhibit the Japanese traditional crafts at Ambiente 2015. Densan was established in 1975 for the promotion of Traditional Craft Industries in Japan, affiliated with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

Densan participates in Ambiente 2015 for the second time, aming for making an opportunity for introducing the beauty of Japanese traditional handicrafts produced by great craftsmen. Since February 2014, Densan has made effort to generate brand awareness and create brand value in Europe, especially at Ambiente and Maison et Obj exhibition. Densan’s mission is to publicize well-designed, high quality crafts and to develop an overseas market.

Mizuho Brush - Ambiente 2015

At Ambiente 2015, Densan presents 20 traditional crafts (21 companies for business, 3 companies for reference exhibit). Among these companies Mizuho Brush will attend as Densan‘s member with their brush lines, both make up brushes and skincare brushes.

Mizuho Brush realizes traditional, hand-crafted, high quality brushes in Kumano,

a small highland basin located on a plateau in the mountains of Hiroshima prefecture.

Their mission is

the continuation of traditional craftsmanship and old techniques, as well as, the development and distribution to market of outstanding quality brushes.
We offer our brushes with grace and color to the heart of the people and their life, and we believe that this contributes to society.

“Mizuho” simply means “fresh ears of rice”. At Mizuho Brush Company, our employees manufacture brushes with the same principle as “fresh ears of rice”.

Mizuho Brush Company Limited was established in 1980 by Mr. Shakuda Taiji.  It already exhibited at Cosmoprof Asia in 2013 and 2014. After becoming really popular in Japan with their Hanacosme brand, Mizuho Brush joined “Maison et Objet exhibition in Paris” as a member of “Japan Brand Consortium”. In 2007 Mizuho Brush was selected by METI for a designated 5 year project. Then it joined exhibitions in the U.S.A. (CHA Anaheim, IBS New York). In 2008 it exhibited for the first time at Cosmoprof Asia. It continued to attend several exhibitions until in 2011 Mizuho Brush “MB series” was awarded prize of “Good Design Award 2011”.
