John Masters Organics Haircare
I’m not really confident when it comes to review haircare products. You know, I feel more “expert” – or safer – talking about make up and – more carefully – skincare products. This is why I’m not fond of haircare. I keep my hair pretty natural without using an overload of products. If you’re curious I wrote a Haircare Tag here in Italian where I mention John Masters Organics products among my favourites.
John Masters Organics is an organic, luxury American brand which offer various products for skincare, bodycare and haircare. In Italy it is sold through A-Vita. Thanks to them and an in depth hair questionnaire I had the chance to try two John Masters Organics products: Evening Primrose Shampoo for Dry Hair* and Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner*, both perfect for my hair type.
John Masters Organics Evening Primrose Shampoo for Dry Hair
You know, I have a sensitive scalp, prone to dermatitis and allergic rash coming usually from SLS. Plus I rather prefer haircare products without silicones since I use henna and I don’t want any chemical filming (that doesn’t mean I don’t use silicones at all or they’re bad, I like them in my make up for example). I like my hair as natural as possible since I experienced that they look a lot better this way. The John Masters Organics Evening Primrose Shampoo is thought as the name says for dry hair. There are a lot of shampoos for dry hair but this is the only one I’ve ever tried that not only cleans but hydrate your hair deeply. It’s hydrating feature is so effective that I can even skip conditioner. And believe me, I never could skip conditioner before, not a single time.
It seems a sort of liquid caramel but scent is totally herbal. I pretty like this kind of raw scent but of course it’s not for you if you are used to chemical floral and fruity scents. It contains 70% certified organic ingredients such as organics oils, proteins, vitamins and amino acids. I have to say that it does what it states: it does hydrate hairs, it does replenish them and – after some months of continuous use – they are really healthy, shiny and strong. It is perfect also for everyday use especially after workouts or a full day spent in pollution. It doesn’t add heaviness to your hair nor it stress them out after several washing. A little goes a long way: don’t worry if you don’t see a loat of foam: it’s totally ok with organic products. But a tiny amount cleans up your hair perfectly. Plus my hair remain clean for at least 4 days.

John Masters Organics Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner
This is a full effective conditioner, so rich that you can use it also as a mask or only once a week. I’m totally new to this kind of product since as I previously said I couldn’t skip conditioner every time I washed my hair. But this product goes so in depth that I can use it only now and then when I need a strong remedy. Texture is definitely thick but when you spread it onto your hair it becomes immediately thin and amazingly easy to blend and lightweight. It has a strong lavender scent, I love lavender so much. You have to leave it in1-5 minutes then rinse off. John Masters Organics Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner It’s the most effective thing I have ever tried for extremely dry and damaged hair, a lot more effective than tons of oils which on me they grease my hair and don’t have a long term effect.

Both this products are really expensive but if I consider how much effective they are and how small amounts I need I think they coud be a worth investment.
