July 2014 Favourites: my most played

It’s time for another post for #teammostplayed (GoldenVi0let™) series. Here in Italy it seems November, though, but I’m so glad of this gloomy weather since I’m not going on holiday 😀 I know, I’m a sadist.

So, these are my July 2014 Favourites.

July 2014 Favourites: my most played

In July 2014 Favourites, as you can see, I really enjoyed colourful eyes. I switched between my most satisfaying recent purchases: Nabla Cosmetics eyeshadows from Solaris collection and Urban Decay Electric palette. I talked about Solaris collection here and I’ve already reviewed Electric palette here.

Regarding Solaris collecion eyeshadows I confirm my first impressions: Nabla eyeshadows have a buttery texture and great blendability, good staying power and colours are really interesting with a lot of unique reflects. My favourites from this bunch are Zoe and Madreperla. Nabla is an Italian indie brand but they do have international shipping.

These days I like to combine various colours for my eye looks and Electric palette is so amazing that I can’t stop using it! Right now my preferred colours are Chaos and Urban.

To define my eyes I’ve always used MAC Cosmetics Black Ivy fluidline from Moody Blooms collection. It’s a dark teal which works amazingly with my brown eyes.

Speaking of MAC Cosmetics, this month I bought Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Deep Dark Brunette. This product came out last year but recently MAC added it to its permanent range. I’m so glad that is not a limited edition anymore! I didn’t pay too much attention to it because I’ve read so many reviews saying it was really warm and I hate a warm colour on my brows. Even if my hair are warm toned the redness in a brow product clashes against my fair skin. But when I tried Deep Dark Brunette in store it wasn’t so warm, I’d say it’s a neutral brown really similar to MAC Spiked. I’m sorry but I don’t have Spiked anymore so I can’t do a comparison. I need only to barely touch the Fluidline Brow Gelcreme‘s surface to do both my brows so I guess it will last a lifetime 😀

As foundation I mostly used L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau de Teint n°100 Porcelain. It is supposed to be the Giorgio Armani Maestro dupe – since I have both I’ll do a review with a comparison. The colour is really similar to MAC Cosmetics Face and Body N1. Just like MAC Face and Body it is a tad dark and orange for my skintone so I can olny use it during summer. I don’t tan but my skin is necessarly more touched by sun this time of the year than during winter. I only have to blend it a bit towards my neck to avoid any mark.

Under my foundation I always use a sunscreen. I’ve just finished Bioderma Photoderm Laser SPF50+ and I started using La Roche Posay Anthelios XL SPF50+ Ultra Light Fluid. I think that this one is the best sunscreen I’ve tried so far. It has a lightweight, fluid texture. It is perfect for acne prone skin so you won’t get oily or break out and it doesn’t leave a white cast. My skin is very sensitive to UV rays and with La Roche Posay sunscreens I’ve never experienced any sunburn.
