It has been ages since my last Kiko Cosmetics haul. Recently, this Italian brand landed abroad and it has been quite funny seeing a lot of US, UK etc. beauty gurus talking about Kiko Cosmetics.

When I was younger I was used to buy a lot from Kiko since it is a low cost brand but in the end I found that only a few products are worth buying. Then my needs and budget increased so I understood that it is better buying less products with a higher  – or, at least ‘right’ for my needs – quality.

Nevertheless, when I see this Lisa Eldridge‘s video I wanted that jumbo eye pencil so much. It is called Color-Up Long Lasting Eyeshadow and it is part of Daring Game Limited Edition Collection. Now it is on sale and I managed to get that gorgeous colour – n°33 Likable Blackberry – for only €3.90.

It is a cream eyeshadow in pencil form. These days I’m using it on its own to create easy, quick smoky eyes with just this colour or as a dark base for other make ups. Colour payoff is extremely intense so you’ll only need a small amount. As other cream eyeshadows it will need a blending brush to get an even result (you can use MAC 217 but I prefer using a synthetic brush, just like those included in UD Naked palettes). You have to blend really quickly because it fix in a couple of seconds. I don’t have a lot of issues with creasing, on my this Color-Up Long Lasting Eyeshadow remains perfect even after 9 hours without a base underneath. Of course, if you’re prone to creasing problems you’d better use an eyeshadow base. As you can see n°33 Likable Blackberry is a stunning colour, I’m obsessed with these burgundy, dark berry and plum colours for my eyes. It goes perfect with all burgundy smoky eyes, try it with MAC Cranberry and Star Violet, with Nabla Cosmetics Grenadine and Daphne or with Kiko Water Eyeshadows shown below. It also helps to enhance all reflects in duochrome shades.

My Kiko Cosmetics Haul continues. As I said, Color-Up Long Lasting Eyeshadow in n°33 Likable Blackberry is perfect if paired with Kiko Water Eyeshadows. These eyeshadows came out some time ago. I’ve been really curious about them but I ended up getting them only some days ago. I found them on sale for only €4.90 each. Their texture is extremely similar to Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadows but these Kiko Water Eysahdows are even more pigmented. I chose n°203 Borgogna (Burgundy) and n°204 Prugna (Plum), my favourite colours at the moment. Texture is really smooth, almost buttery and with a great colour payoff. They don’t crease nor fade during the day but I always prefer using an eyeshadow base. This combo of colours makes my eyes brighther and more intense, like jewels. I really can’t stop using them.
