Today I want to talk about L’Oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain.
As you all know I’m literally in love with YSL Glossy Stains and I’m not a lipgloss gal, at all. Thier only con is that they’re really, really pricey.
I’m not fond of searching for dupes because quality, texture, etc. usually are not the same. But when the same company put out the same product, one for high brand and one for drugstores, well I’m not a fool.
You know, YSL is part of L’Oreal’s company.
So, when I first saw these L’Oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain I thought that they were the same exact dupe for YSL Glossy Stains. At less than half price.
I decided to give them a try so I could made a comparison.
I chose L’Oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain in 402 Milady, the darker one. In the tube it seems almost purple but it applies in a sultry not so dark raspberry – plum.
Stain after removing
I couldn’t believe it: texture is the same than YSL one. It’s thin and quite jelly, not sticky at all. It remains shiny for about 5 – 6 hours, even after eating and drinking. Then it leaves a stain, still not matte, until you remove it.
Do you some of these stains? What do you think about them? Do you think they are good dupes or do you prefer splurge on YSL Glossy Stains? For me, I only wish that L’Oreal will put out more shades in the future, maybe more pigmented and with some funny or vampy colours as well. However, if you’re interest in a direct comparison, here it is my review of YSL Glossy Stains: http://kenderasia.com/ysl-glossy-stains/
Hope this helps!
