MAC Macnificent Me + Haute Dogs
As always, MAC Cosmetics fall collections win me.
This year I fell immediately in love with Haute Dogs concept which is the Fabulous Feline collection anniversary. I was waiting for a collection dedicated to dogs for a long, long time so I was really happy when Haute Dogs came out. Well, I wasn’t too excited for the products theirselves since I’m not a huge fan of mineralize line but I did love the concept and the colour choice. The best picks from this collection were the double fibre brushes but I ended up buying the Great Dame fluidline only.
I’ve always regretted to not have gotten Dark Diversion fluidline since I really have a thing for anything burgundy. I alreayd own Macroviolet – which is plum – and Looking Good – which is blackened red – fluidlines but I really needed a burgundy one. As I said, I don’t have Dark Diversion to compare, but Great Dame is the exact burgundy eyeliner I was looking for: the perfect mix of red, brown and plum, dark enough to not make your eyes looking tired.
Then, MAC Macnificent Me collection came out. I really loved the concept where ‘common’ people were chosen to be models in a MAC campaign. MAC concept is all here: all ages, all races, all sexes.
If possibile, I would have bought everything from this collection. Every item, each colour was great. I loved the neutral palette, the blushes, the single eyeshadows, the lipsticks. In the end, I chose Everyone’s Darling eyeshadow and Deep Love lipstick. This post is all about burgundy, uh.
Everyone’s Darling has a good matte texture and it is less red than Deep Damson but less brown than Sketch. Deep Love is way less brown than Film Noir but definitely more brownish than any other vampy lipstick I already own. The finish is a new matte, my favourite one in the last period.
Don’t you think that these three items make a perfect autumn look?
