Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2015
Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2015 has just ended with all menswear fashion shows for FW 15-16 season. I have been MAC Cosmetics‘ guest for some backstages so I can report all men beauty trends for next fall winter season. All beauty concepts are by amazing Senior Artist Michele Magnani. Many compliments to all MAC team for their great work in this Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2015.
Let’s start with N°21 by Alessandro dell’Acqua: with this beauty idea N°21 wants to highlight natural beauty in every individual in order to enhance each personality. Though with a great attention to details. Make up is very minimal and natural with sheered out textures: a little Face and Body foundation diluted with Prep+Prime Highlighter to correct and conceal little imperfections. Let’s continue our backstage trip with Vivienne Westwood Man. Vivienne Westwood men are all climate revolution heroes. Michele Magnani created sun bruises and dried out lips with abstract glasses to focus on climate change. To obtain this effect he used Chromalines with Platinum Pigment. Antonio Marras pull us back to 40’s-50’s. He tells the story of Sardinian artist Costantino Nivola when he arrives in New York and has to deal with a new urban reality. Hence Antonio Marras shows the ‘metropolitan battle’ concept with a connection with Taxi Driver movie. To create a strong manhood Michele Magnani opted for a matte base: Face and Body foundation mixed with Prep+Prime Skin Brightening Serum. [full Italian post with all backstage photos here]
Another retro trend with MSGM which rocks the rockabilly mood. A fresh look for these young boys whom express freedom. To be real and trsutworthy is the key: a very little Face and Body foundation and Prep+Prime Highlighter to create a luminous, natural and weightless skin. Still vintage allure but set in 70’s Roberto Cavalli‘s fashion show. Think about exclusive all night long parties in Miami during Seventies: crazy clothes with opulent textiles and patterns. Make up is very minimal to focus attention on clothes. Michele Magnani used Prep+Prime BB Beauty Balm for a simple clean look and natural, wild brows. Stella Jean goes back to contemporary present but to another country: India. She takes inspirations by all Indian spirituality and richness of colours. Michele Magnani added a tilak in three colours: orange which recalls spices with Lipmix, blue for blue sky behind Taj Mahal with Chromaline and gold for all traditional art with Superslick Liquid Eye Liner. This backstage experience ends with Christian Pellizzari fashion show. The mood for this collection is ‘radical street’: young people involved with social commitment. They’re focused on intellectual and social activities. Glowy and dewy base with Face and Body foundation mixed with Natural Radiance primer for a luminous and healthy look, plus Studio Eye Gloss for girls.
