NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder
Let’s end this little bronzer series talking about NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder. Today is a sort of old but gold post. I bought this bronzer a couple of years ago and it is still my favourite among the bunch. It is strange that I didn’t review NARS Laguna yet. It is one of the most famous bronzer in beauty world and one of the most iconic products in NARS range.
It comes in a larger pan than NARS standard blushes: you’ll get a huge amount of product that will last more than a lifetime, seriously. NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder is described as a brown shade with golden shimmer. I think this is the most flattering and natural looking bronzer out there. It is sheer but still highly pigmented. Its brownish colour is not too cool nor too orange. Therefore it is the only bronzer I can use for contouring. Usually bronzers are way too warm and orangeish to be used as contour on your face. Surprisingly, NARS Laguna can look extremely natural since its colour mimics so well natural shadows. Of course, to use it as a contouring shade you must have a neutral-warm undertone because it will look too obvious on the coolest complexions.
If you’re worried about golden shimmer I can reassure you: they’re almost invisible onto skin since they translate in the most subtle and barely visible sheen which looks incredibly natural.
As all NARS cheek products its staying power is amazing: it stays on without fading all day long even in the heat.
The best way to apply it is with a itahake brush. NARS came out with its Itahake brush but I personally use Everyday Mineral‘s Itahake brush which is a lot cheaper and incredibly soft.
You can find NARS Lagura Bronzing Powder in a lot of limited edition palettes and gift sets: they are a good way to try some great NARS products. Right now, for Spring 2015, NARS came out with Tahiti Laguna Bronzing Powder set which contains Laguna in a special packaging with a mini Itahake brush.
