Perfume Wishlist of the moment – end of Summer 2017
Perfume, one of my latest and biggest beauty obsessions. I’ve just came back from a lovely Summer holiday spent in Nice, Côte d’Azur. A couple of weeks full of relax, digital detox and mindfulness. Nevertheless I was looking for some beauty-inspirations constantly. In the end, I spent a good amount of time at Galeries Lafayette’s and Sephora’s counters.
In my endless scents-to-fell-in-love-with research here it is a perfume wishlist for this end of Summer, with mixed feelings of melancholy and excitment for a new beginning.
Caron Narcisse Noir
The more I read about perfume history the more I’m fascinated by these great creations frome the past. Narcissus, orange blossom and animalic notes? I’m sold. I hope to find the vintage version since the current reformulation lacks darkness and contrast.
Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidée Vanille
On my skin it develops as the best vanilla scent ever. It’s not too sweet, not childis nor “chemical” (in a bad way) at all. A super feminine floral vanilla, simple and beautiful. I cant’ wait to get it asap.
Narciso Rodriguez For Her eau de toilette
Every time I smell it I don’t understand why I’ve never bought it. Yep it’s utterly commercial. Yep it’s everywhere. But it’s perfection. I’m quite into clean, musky scents recently…
Kiehl’s Original Musk
Talking about musk. I can’t find the perfume musk to fell in love with. I’ve smelled a lot of superb musks (Bruno Acampora, Frederica Malle, Lorenzo Villoresi…) but I’m still looking for my love at first sight. I think I’ll give the infamous Kiehl’s musk a try.
Jo Malone Orris & Sandalwood
I think Jo Malone fragrances are really, really nice. Nevertheless I’ve never found the right one for me. Until I discovered this lovely scent. Orris, violets and sandalwood, elegant and poudré without being intoxicating.
Chanel Cuir de Russie
Oh well, what can I say. I went to Chanel’s counter to smell it pretty every day. If only the eau de toilette were more intense… yay for the 75ml bottle.
