Sephora Pro Precision Powder Brush #59

Last year Sephora Italy launched Sephora Pro Precision brush range which was already available in U.S. I received Sephora Pro Precision Powder Brush #59* brush for free and now I’m ready to do a review about it. First of all I have to say that I’m really impressed with entire Sephora Pro Precision brush range. Sephora Pro Precision Powder Brush #59 is one of the most interesting brush in the range, along with Sephora Pro Airbrush Concealer #57.

Sephora Pro Precision Powder Brush #59 is a long handled brush – which I usually don’t love too much – but it is well balanced with the right weight balance when you hold it. It is made with wood handle, metal ferrule and natural bristles. Goat hair may sometimes be too harsh on skin but I’ve been really impressed since these bristles are nearly as soft as my squirrel brushes (Chikuhodo, Wayne Goss). Bristles are really dense and it didn’t shed even once.

Sephora Pro Precision Powder Brush #59 is supposed to apply every type of complexion powders or powder blush. It is meant to master a precise application, which makes it a perfect brush for sculpting and shading technique. Though is quite big, so you can’t do a great precision work when it comes to contouring: for doing so I prefer Charlotte Tilbury Powder & Sculpt Brush which is smaller and fits better my small face features. Nevertheless I’m deeply in love with Sephora Pro Precision Powder Brush #59 for a seamless, lightweight and diffused sculpting and shading application: I love it to warm up my contour features with Nars Laguna Bronzer, to apply diffusely MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes on my highlight areas. But most of all, I use it to apply lightly powder on the centre of my face and on my T-zone, such as Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Powder or T.Leclerc Loose Powders or Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Powder. It is really similar to MAC 138 brush, but way softer, with a more precise shape and a lower price.
