Smile Brilliant: How to whiten your teeth at home
Today I want to talk about a teeth whitening system to do at home. A coupl of weeks ago Smile Brilliant offered me to try their teeth whitening system in order to write a review for my readers. Since I already tried some teeth whitening systems I accepted because I was really curious about this US system.
I received Smile Brilliant LED Teeth Whitening system*. This kit contains:
- LED accelerator kit
- 1 Whitening Gel Pens (4 ml)
How does Smile Brilliant works
It works thanks to a 22% carbomide peroxide gel whose whitening action is accelerated by a high strenght LED light.
- Before using the LED light for the first time you have to remove the plastic insert beneath the battery shield. If you don’t remove it the LED light won’t work.
- Twist the bottom of the pen to let the whitening gel coming out. Do you remember YSL Touche Eclat? It works in the same way. The first time you have to twist a lot of times.
- Paint each tooth with the pen brush. It is important that you keep your lips from touching in order to avoid any gel mess.
- Then insert the lip guard: it helps to keep gel in place.
- Press the ON button on the LED light and keep it in front of your mouth
- You have to keep the light on for 20-45 minutes. It really depends on your sensitivity.
My thoughts
Smile Brilliant is really simple to use. I have very sensitive gums and I didn’t experience any sensitivity or burning. The only difficult thing is keeping saliva for all that time. For this reason I turn off the light after 30 minutes. I already have whitened teeth (I did a treatment some months ago) but I drink a lot of tea and coffee and after Smile Brilliant my teeth appeared even whiter, I think they’re at maximum level now after only one treatment. The pen brush is really easy to use and foolproof and you can use it several times. You can also buy single pen packs. Last but not least Smile Brilliant is incredibly cheap: this kit comes only at $39.95.
