Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Trio in Cool
Stila Convertible Color Trio was launched for Holiday 2012 collection. I know, it seems a little too late to review this product but you can still find it on some website. Plus, for Holiday 2013 a bigger Convertible Color palette was launched with six shades. However in this trio you find two permanent colours and only one is limited edition so I hope you’ll find this review still useful.
Stila Convertible Color Trio was avaible in Cool or Warm. I chose the Cool one because except for the limited edition shade colours were slightly warm and the Warm palette seemed way too orange-brown toned. In Stila Convertible Color Trio Cool you’ll find Cherry Blossom (limited edition shade), Lilium and Peony which are permanent and avaible as single Convertible Color.
As I said this trio is not too cool, at least even those with a neutral – slightly warm skintone could pull it off. The only real cool shade is Cherry Blossom, a light, pastel cool pink. Lilium is a light warm pink and Peony is an earthy pink, both really similar to natural skintone and with a hint of peach.
I wanted to try Stila Convertible Colors from ages since I’ve always read great reviews about them so I was really curious about the formula. I am a big fan of cream blushes: they last all day, they’re easy to blend and they’re quite foolproof. Stila Convertible Color formula is incredibly creamy, pigmented and with a dewey finish. They’re so pigmented that you’ll only a small amount. They blend well into skin but you have to go with a light hand. I usually apply them over foundation before powdering in order to avoid any clump. The result is extremely natural and youthful; dewey finish help your skin looking radiant. They last well an entire day, and they start fading at the end of the day.
They’re not so great when you use them on your lips. Colours are a bit too light if you have pigmented lips (on me they work as my lips but better colours). Even if they’re creamt they enhance all your dry patches. They last a few hours too.
Stila Convertible Color Trio is sold at £23 for 6.6 grams of product.
