Today’s review is about Urban Decay Asphyxia 24/7 Glide-On Pencil.
I received this eyeliner pencil from a swap with lovely S. from Dramanmakeup, take a look at her blog, it’s amazing and she’s super kind <3
This was the first Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil I’ve ever tried (I say “was” because I picked another one recently, it’s called Underground, a metallic taupe) and I think that they worth the hype.
Urban Decay Asphyxia is a really complex colour, quite difficult to describe. It is a sort of light purplish pink with a periwinkle duochrome effect. It is very shimmery even if it doesn’t have large glitters. That kind of colour which make hazel eyes pop, literally, since it emphasize the green component in your eyes. The colour is stunning, indeed, I can’t remember any colour as amazing as this one.
27/4 Glide-On Pencils are supposed to be creamy long-lasting and waterproof. As said on Urban Decay’s site: “never before has a pencil this creamy and brilliant been waterproof, too. Velvety-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge.”
Urban Decay Asphyxia is really creamy and glides easily on my eyelids; it is a bit sheer at first but you can build it with a second stroke for a full colour effect. As Urban Decay said, you can blend it really quickly because it dries fast and after it set it will remain perfect all day long. Since it’s a sort of unusual colour I don’t use it as eyeliner on my upper eyelid, but it’s amazing blended along the bottom lashline and in the waterline. And it’s beautiful blended all over the eyelid where you can see how complex this colour is.
Urban Decay Asphyxia exists also in powder eyeshadow form and I’m thinking about getting it, I’m so in love with this kind of colour!
Have you ever tried these pencils?
