Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals

Another post for my bronzer post series. Recently I talked about a Physicians Formula Bronze Booster bronzer. Today I want to talk about a brand new launch in bronzer world. Vita Liberata has recently came out with Trystal Minerals*: the first self tanning bronzer.

I had the chance to receive it as preview from Sephora press day and now I’m ready to share my opinion with you. Vita Liberata is a world famous brand for tanning and self tanning products. You all know that recently it has been a great talk about UV rays damages so self tanning products began to have a huge boom in beauty world.

I am a super pale gal who doesn’t tan. I am really sensitive to UV rays and I burn like crazy after few minutes. So I don’t really ever experienced tanning and I’ve never seen myself tanned.

These are Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals claims

Trystal3™ Technology combines an instant pure mineral bronze colour with long lasting self tan results for a beautiful, natural – looking medium tan that lasts for days. The innovative formula is a world – first self tanning bronzer. Oil – free with micronised crystals for sheer, lightweight bronzing coverage and added DHA for a lasting tan result, this unique bronzing powder will leave you with soft, smooth, healthy looking skin.

If you’re concerned about ingredients they are pretty good (in a natural sense):

CI 77019 (MICA), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Dihydroxyacetone, +/- CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77489 (Iron Oxides)

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals is a loose bronzing powder which come in a large plastic jar for a 9 grams of product at €39.90. It comes with a super luxurious kabuki with extra long cruelty free synthetic hair. This brush is pretty different from other kabuki I’ve tried so far. As I said hair are really long and fluffy. This provides a flawless, lightweight application which doesn’t leave harsh lines, marks or patches. It is also good for a super light, extremely natural coverage which is essential when it comes to bronzing and self-tanning products.

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals comes in two shades: Sunkissed for light to medium complexions and Bronze for medium to dark ones. Though I received Bronze shade I was able to get an extremely natural result and I’m around NW13-NC15 in MAC reference. Obviously I have to barely touch the powder with its kabuki and get rid of all excess. Then I apply it with super light circular motion on my cheekbones, top of the temples, a teeny tiny bit on top of the nose and chin and I blend it very carefully along my jawline and my neck. The result is pretty different from any other bronzer. It looks like I have nothing on my face but a natural tan, that one which you get after a weekend in open air. You know, that healthy sunkissed look which I’ve never been able to get by myself. The powder is completely matte and it lasts perfectly on skin until you cleanse your make up off. I think that the secret is using it with its kabuki since I can’t get the same natural, flawless result with another brush.

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals is the perfect product for all those who don’t want to sunbathe but would like a sunkissed look no matter how. I really couldn’t think that a self-tanning bronzer could look so natural even on a fair complexion! Of course don’t forget to use a specific self-tanning product all over your body if you’re going to wear tops, skirts, shorts etc. to match your face 😉
