Today’s review: Touche Eclat Foundation
This is year is my foundation year. It was some years I’ve been using only mineral make up or bb creams. But I was dying for trying some new traditional foundations’ formulas. So I tried some from various brands.
This time I want to talk about the famous Touche Eclat Foundation by Yves-Saint-Laurent. I read several reviews about it and many were positive so I decided to give it a try. I bought it on Feelunique since here in Italy I couldn’t find the lightest shade, plus on the Uk site it’s cheaper (and it was on sale!) 😉
I chose B10 shade and it’s pretty perfect for my skin (I have very fair skin a warm pink /peachy undertone), but you can choose among three undertones range of shades: B for neutrals, BD for goldens and BR for pinkish.
I don’t do swatches of foundations since they’re invisible on my skin of course 😉
I love its consistency: it’s between liquid and a cream and it blends into skin without any effort, extremely lightweight, just like a tinted moisturizer. The claim is a highlighting effect, with a dewy finish. I have to say that I really see this effect on my skin: it is highlighted and any shadow seems concealed!
The finish is glowy but not in a bad way though, it’s not greasy and I didn’t break out. I have an acne prone skin, combinated with a lot of dry areas. On me this foundation covers well – and I didn’t expect it! – any blemishes and large pores and doesn’t mark dry frackles.
It lasts well for about 10 hours. I find it perfect for these cold days, maybe on summer it will be necessary a powder re-touch.
Have you ever tried this Touche Eclat Foundation? What do you think about all his hype?
Thanks for the review, I am keen to try this when I have some spare money! I’ve just been concerned it wouldn’t give me enough coverage but as I generally use a tinted moisturiser in the spring/summer I think I will wait until then and try it!
Well, I find it gives to me enough coverage – I’d say medium coverage – but it’s very buildable since it’s not cackey at all 🙂
*___* a me pare anguria XD
