Today’s review is about Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation.
I have to say that Nars is my weak spot when it comes to make up. I love pretty anything that François Nars put out on the market: from the minimal packaging, to the collections’ concept to the colours chosen to the naming to the product itself.
Along with Mac cosmetics and Rouge Bunny Rouge, Nars is my top notch beauty brand.
I fell in love with Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer that I wanted to try the new Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation at once, since the first day it has been launched.
As the name say, it is a cream foundation in a compact form. I never loved cream foundations because they usually are too heavy and they give to the skin a lot of greasiness.
Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation is different from anything I tried so far: it’s like a liquid foundation in a solid form. It is extremely light, feels almost weightless on skin but it is highly creamy and moisturizing at the same time. Its texture is incredibly smooth and it glides so easily on skin that you don’t ever need a primer underneath. It melts into skin just like a facial cream without leaving streks or a cakey finish; it has a medium coverage and it leaves skin looking extremely natural and glowing, really radiant as it’s stated. It lasts well for about 8 hours.
Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation comes in a good range of colours, 20 shades, with different undertones to match every skintones. For example, you can choose among 5 different light colours: mine is Deauville, Light 4, a light with neutral balance of pink and yellow undertone which match well with my peach undertone. It can look really dark in the pan but you can see how it’s perfect when blended out.
However there is a downside in this product: it is pricey but really, really tiny (even if it’s stated as 0.42 Oz/12g) and you have to purchase the case separately (it is a good thing though that you can buy only refills). Here you can see how small it is compared to my smartphone.
Finally I think that this is one of the best foundation I’ve ever tried!
