October 2014 Favourites – My Most Played

Right now I’m a little sad that October has just ended. I’m so in love with Autumn and October has always been my favourite month: nature has so amazing colours, I can wear all my favourite fall outfits and I love spending cozy evenings at home watching some old movies and sipping a cup of flavoured tea. I’m always a bit gloomy when October ends because November is usually freezing, grey and not yet Christmas 😀

What about my October 2014 Favourites? My most played (post series created by GoldenVi0let) products have been some oldie but goldie and some new entries. This month I tried some Physicians Formula products which has just arrived in Italy and I’ve found one of my favourite lip combo ever.

As face make up I re-discovered Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation (review here). Deauville colour is perfect for my neutral with peach undertones complexion (I’m NC15 for reference). I didn’t buy its case – this one is a refill – but it didn’t dry out at all even after several months. It has a satin radiant finish with a buildable coverage and since it’s a compact you’ll need a tiny bit for a full face make up. Then I hit the pan of Illamasqua Zygomatic Cream Blusher (review here). It’s a very natural powdery rose perfect for sculpting my cheekbones. As powder / contour I’ve used Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Airbrushing Pressed Powder*. It is a pressed mineral powder with SPF30. Unfortunately this colour is too dark for my fair skin so I’ve been using it only as a contour product. Coverage is medium, it has an extremely soft texture and it is really good to make your skin more flawless. It is amazing in reducing enlarged pores’ appearance. Another Physicians Formula product I’m currently testing is Youthful Wear Cosmeceutical Youth-Boosting Dark Circle Corrector + Concealer*. I’m in love with yellow corrector. It has a dual-ended stainless steel roller applicatore which helps to reduce puffiness. You can use light concealer over yellow corrector or alone.

On my eyes I’ve tried to use often my Chanel Illusion d’Ombre eyeshadows in Apparence (review here) and Fatal (review here). Both are unfortunately limited editions. I also owned Illusoire (you can see it here) but it dried out so badly that I had to throw it away. I’m afraid for these ones too so I’m going to use them as much as possible. For my brows I fell in love with Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Natural Eye Brow Pencil* (first impressions here). They’re rectractable brow pencils really similar to MAC ones, only better. I received 02 Natural Beige and 03 Brownette: I mix them to get a perfect match for my brows. Regarding my lips, I found one of my favourite combo ever: MAC Mehr lipstick paired with Half-Red lip pencil. Of course I smudge the lip pencil all over my lips, I know that 90’s are back but one of the most horrifying trend is ombré lips or dark lip contour. The result is a super pretty, mlbb antique rose.
