Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows (refills)
Hi! Today I want to talk about Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows refills. You already saw them arranged in a custom made palette (from Nabla Cosmetics too) in my April favourites post.
If you are curious about this Italian indie brand you can read my overview here where I show another eyeshadows formulation avaible in the range and their black eyeliner.
This custom made palette is part of my second order from Nabla Cosmetics and I must confess I’m really impressed from these products’ quality.
Their eyeshadows are all eco-friendly, vegan and silicones, petrolatum, parabens, pegs, phthalates, edta free. They are available as single pots or refill pan form. Single pots are €7.90 and refills are €6.50.
You can choose among three finishes: matte, satin or bright.
For my custom made palette I chose three bright (i.e. pearl, metallic finish) eyeshadows and three matte ones. When you buy six refills you get their Liberty Six Customizable Palette for free.

Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows Matte: Fossil, City Wolf, Caramel.
You all know how much I love matte eyeshadows and how I struggle from ages to find good matte eyeshadows. They’re often too chalky, with poor colour payoff, hard to blend… There are some matte eyeshadows I love though: those from Inglot, Urban Decay, Tarte. They’re all top notch: buttery, blendable and amazingly pigmented. Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows Matte go straight in my top list. Texture is really smooth and I get plenty of colour without effort. Just like any other matte eyeshadow they’re a bit powder when you pick up the colour but they’re not powdery at all once you apply them so there’s no fallout. I experience the same lasting power with all three colours: they last well all day long and with a primer I didn’t experience any fading or creasing even after a workout.
I’m deeply in love with all taupe shades: all those tones between grey and brown. So I got two taupey shades and a colour which is completely unusual for me.
Fossil is the most perfect transition shade for the crease. It’s just perfect with my NC15 complexion. It’s a light shade so it could be invisible on some skintones even though it’s well pigmented. Perfect for shading, contouring – not only your eyes! – or used as a wash for a simple cat-eye look.
City Wolf is greyer Fossil‘s brother. It is more suitable for cooler complextions always as a crease shade. It’s also darker and can be used for a soft smoky eyes.
Caramel is a beautiful warm brown with orange undertones, well caramel is its perfect description. I feared that it could be too warm for my skintone but it’s surprisingly flattering: it doesn’t pull off too much orange and it’s especially lovely blended into the crease. I don’t own anything comparable to Caramel and I couldn’t think about a colour similar to this one.
Now, swatches and comparisons 🙂

Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows Bright: Dreamer, Interference, Extravirgin.
I’d say that Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows Bright finish is comparable to all pearl or metallic eyeshadows out there. Think about best Urban Decay non-glittery shades or Rouge BunnyRouge ones. Yes, I’m saing that these Nabla Eyeshadows are comparable to Rouge Bunny Rouge ones. A lot more pigmented and smooth than MAC or Nars eyeshadows.
All three of them have a smooth and buttery texture, almost creamy. High level pigment, it adheres to lids without effort. They’re metallic but not too frosty so they’re still sophisticated. Lasting power is good as other Nabla Cosmetics Eyeshadows.
Dreamer is really complex to described: it’s a sort of warm platinum with antique gold and greenish undertones and I suspect it looks really different on various skintones. As you can see I don’t own anything similar, this is a very unique shade.
Interference is one of those purplish taupe that I love to collect. It’s surprisingly cool and grey compared to other taupes. It’s a sort of greyer version of Rouge Bunny Rouge Delicate Hummingbird.
Extravirgin recalls perfectly olives. It’s the most perfect olive green you can imagine, su much better than MAC Sumptuous Olive and Urban Decay Mildew. I’m so sorry I don’t own them anymore to make a comparison 🙁

Ecco, dreamer non l’avevo calcolato, invece è mooooolto carino e molto nelle mie corde.
Ma ho detto che non mi servono ombretti. Ecco.
Sì e secondo me renderebbe molto coi tuoi colori. Mi sono stupita di non avere proprio nulla di simile!
Interference <3

io apprezzo parecchio anche Dreamer di questi, e Fossil e City Wolf!
Sono tutti bellissimi *____* non ho usato altro da quando li ho presi!
