The Best Face Masks for Combination Skin

Today let’s talk about skincare. During the past months I found a lot of staples for a skincare routine for combination skins. Some times ago I always preferred DIY face masks made with clay and other ingredientes (here there are some examples) but nowadays I so much prefer commercial masks: they’re well balanced, ready to use and I don’t have to deal with all the mess.

Since now I tried three face masks which made a big difference for my combination skin. I have acne prone skin, with clogged pores, quite sensitive but I also have the need to prevent ageing since I’m 30.

If you have a similar skin you’ll have to: clear skin and clogged pores, exfoliate and sooth and calming all irritations and occasionally imperfections. So you’ll need a mask that is gentle and effective at the same time.

REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask is a clay based face mask but it is incredibly gentle on skin. It is part of REN Clarimatte range, skincare products for combination to oily skin. Its claim is to detoxifying skin reducing the appearance of pore size. Well, I don’t believe in detox and reducing pores concepts but surely this mask leave your skin well purified. It cleans well clogged pores and all impurities. Plus it doesn’t irritate my skin too much. Of course you have to use a hydrating serum after to re-balance your skin.

Aesop Chamomille Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque

 

 

Aesop Chamomille Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque is another kaolin based mask. From this brand I previously used Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque but this one is even more effective! It is my secret weapon when I have hormonal breakouts. It neutralizes blemishes quite immediately. It helps reducing inflammation thanks to tea tree oil and chamomille concentrate. The best thing about this mask is that it doesn’t dry out skin too much because it also contains gentle oils from plants.
