Recently, for past St. Valentine‘s day, Lancome launched a new lipstick formula named Rouge in Love, with the lovely Emma Watson as testimonial.
Features stated: lightweight texture, but still high potency colour; long lasting up to 6 hours wearing time.
They come in three colour lines, based on day’s different moments: daytime (joli matins: shades are identified with an M), cocktail hour (boudoir time: B shades) and night (tonight is my night: N shades).
Shades become more intense through these different times (but you can mix and match as you like, of course).
Just like any other high brands’ product they’re pricey: around 27 euro. I was lucky enough to use a 30% discount for the first one and a 25% for the second one: so, be patient and wait for some code.
This spring I was obsessed with coral tones that don’t lead too much towards orange, since I am neutral-cool.
(I was also really upset to let skip Mac Watch Me Simmer, shame on me)
Well, I instantly fell in love with a Boudoir shade: 340B Rose Boudoir. A warm coral rose: it’s so bright and intense that seems quite neon in real life (pictures can’t show how beautiful it is). From the tube it seems matte but when you put on lips it’s moisturizing and it lets a luminous finish. Staying power is amazing: you can eat and it’ll remain on lips, it also stains lips, so on me it lasts more than 6 hours. Amazing pigmentation.
I was so in loved with this shade that I looked for a more muted and easy to wear rosy-coral shade. I chose 322M Corail in Love. In pictures it seems a sheerer and lighter version of the previous one, but in real life it’s more pink and less coral: it’s the perfect tender, soft warm pink – still very pigmented. Since it’s a less intense shade it doesn’t stain lips such as Rose Boudoir, so staying power – though still really good – doesn’t go over 5 hours. When you drink a little it remains on, but after a full dinner you have to reapply, though your lips will still have a nice look even if you don’t.
I also made a comparison with Mac new Viva Glam Nicki Minaj (review is coming!): you can see how it is a lot less coral compared with two Lancome lippies. Maybe Rose Boudoir could be a dupe for Watch Me Simmer? Let me know what you think!

sai che gli somiglia a Watch me simmer? almeno, per come me lo ricordo io…
@Misato così a naso sembra di sì anche a me..
