MAC Toxic Tale Lipstick – Red Red Red Collection
One of my biggest regret is haven’t got MAC Toxic Tale lipstick when it came out for the first time in 2010, with Venomous Villains collection. At that time I was in my MAC-pause and even I immediately noticed that gorgeous lipstick I gave up since I didn’t want to get involved with insane pre-orders wars. You know, MAC mania blew up in Italy with Venomous Villains collection in collaboration with Disney. I was hoping that they’d repromoted MAC Toxic Tale with Maleficent collection but I’ve been disappointed soon. Now MAC Toxic Tale has been repromoted with Red Red Red collection. There are many people upset with this collection because it’s not really a red based collection. Honestly, I jumped out of the chair when I saw the press release with MAC Toxic Tale as a repromote. Sadly, it went sold out on MAC website immediately. Nevertheless I’ve been so lucky to find it at a MAC counter so I grabbed it without thinking twice.
MAC Toxic Tale is described as a bright coral with a Satin finish. This description is quite correct, I see it as a lobster red. It is very bright and on someone it may appear almost neon since it does contain a good amount of white pigment. However, thanks to my peach undertone, is quite flattering with my fair complexion. Satin finish is one of my favourite from MAC formulas: great pigmentation, not slippery, amazing lasting power. Satin lipsticks are also more workable than Matte ones and they don’t require lip pencil to get an even result.

Someone says that MAC Toxic Tale is similar to MAC Party Parrot but they’re nothing alike. I also made a comparison with Nars Audacious lipstick in Lana which is way more orange and insanely brighter.
