Summer Foundation, Tinted Moisturizer, CC Cream – 2015 Edition
Last Summer I already talked about my favourite foundations for the hot season (read the article here). Nevertheless I want to show you again my 2015 favourite Summer foundation. You know, foundations are my favourite beauty item. During last years I’ve been capable of understand my skin better, therefore right now I prefer lightweight foundations with a luminous finish. When it comes to foundation, the less the better. Nothing is more beautiful than a natural, transparent skin which reveals all its inner glow. Of course, finding the skincare routine is essential.
This is my selection of the best options for Summer foundation, tinted moisturizer, CC cream ecc.: there a couple of old staples and two brand new products which unify the best hybrid technology.
Summer foundation, tinted moisturizer, CC – 2015 edition
- MAC Cosmetics Face and Body is the most beloved foundation by make-up artists. And I love it as well! It has a transparent and luminous finish, it looks like your skin but better. It is water based and it feels quite sticky at first, but once it is set it is absolutely waterproof no matter what. The best thing about it that it feels nothing on skin and it gives you a youthful, radiant look. If you have combination skin consider powdering your T-zone for a flawless result. No SPF, you have to wear sunscreen underneath. €31 at MACCosmetics.
- Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream caused a sort of hysteria due to a Lisa Eldridge‘s video last year. Everyone wanted it and everyone was madly in love with it. It is indeed an excellent product: it has decent coverage, it evens out complexion reducing imperfections which is what a CC Cream is supposed to do, thanks to colour corrective pigments. It gives a natural and healthy glow. I wish it could last a little longer though. SPF15. €15.50 at Feelunique.
- Innisfree Water Glow Cushion is the biggest 2015 trend. Korean cosmetics are really top notch and I can see how all Korean girls are in love with cushions. You can read complete review here. I’d describe it as a tinted sunscreen with the same properties of a BB Cream / CC Cream. It has a cooling effect and gives a dewy finish for a moist, youthful result. It looks amazingly natural, just like you have a radiant finish on your own. Plush, it lasts all day long even in the worst heat. SPF50+. €21.36 at Innisfree.
- BareMinerals Complexion Rescue is my latest purchase. Let me say that I’m literally obsessed with this new product. It has a fresh, cooling effect and a gel-like texture (even if it seems more like a mousse to me). It gives a healthy, dewy result. It feels like a weightless tinted moisturizer but it really evens out skintone and minimize little imperfectiosn thanks to its radiant finish. A sort of tinted moisturizer, sunscreen, BB Cream and CC cream all in one. You can building it up a bit to get some more coverage where needed and it will still look incredibly natural. Good staying power too. SPF30. €28.90 at Sephora.
