Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2015 – Preview
1st December is World AIDS Day. However, we all know that for MAC Cosmetics
Every day is World AIDS Day
Last week I’ve been invited to Andrew Jenks’ It’s Not Over documentary movie preview. This project has been achieved thanks to MAC AIDS Fund. It’s Not Over tells three stories about young people dealing with HIV. They live in three different continents, so you can really realize how HIV and AIDS are worldwide problems, they really concern all of us. It’s not over is already available on streaming platforms Netflix and SnagFilms but it will be worldwide launched on 1st December.
MAC AIDS Fund was born in 1994 to help men, women and kids affected by HIV and AIDS in every part of the world. Since now MAC AIDS Fund raised more than $340.000.000 thanks to Viva Glam program.
When you buy a Viva Glam lipstick or lipglass (or Kids Helping Kids holiday cards) you really help fighting HIV/AIDS since every cent (yes, 100% of profits) is devolved to MAC AIDS Fund projects.
A lot of celebrities have been Viva Glam spokepersons. In 2014 it has been Rihanna and you can still buy Viva Glam Rihanna 1 & 2 lipsticks and lipglasses. Right now you can buy them as a Viva Glamorous kit (as well as a lipstick palette with all permanent Viva Glam lipsticks) as part of holiday collection.
It has already been announced Viva Glam 2015 spokeperson: popstar Miley Cyrus. Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2015 will be launched in February 2015 and there will be a lipstick and a lipglass.
I received both lipstick and lipglass as press preview. Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick* is described ad a hot pink with Amplified finish and Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipglass* is officially described as a hot pink with sparkling pearl.
Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipglass has a sheer finish with sparkling fuchsia and blue shimmers. It is really pretty for layering over other fuchsia / hot pink lipsticks if you want them a little cooler and glittery.
Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick is a warm hot pink which appears more fuchsia on my medium pigmented lips (NC15 skin with peach undertones).
Compared to other MAC lipsticks Viva Glam Miley Cyrus is quite similar to Red Balloon (limited edition from Playland collection) but the latter is a tad deeper and cooler while the former is a bit lighter and brighter. Though they have the same finish. MAC Moxie is redder, more intense and matte. Viva Glam Nicki Minaj (2012 edition) is more pastel and lighter with a lot more of white pigment in it.
